The Republic of Mexico School was built in 1942 as a gesture of solidarity from the part of the Mexican government towards Chile after the catastrophic earthquake of Chillán in 1939, which affected several regions of the country.
Located on O'Higgins Avenue, in front of Héroes de Iquique Square or Santo Domingo Square, as it is popularly known, this school has great historical and patrimonial value, since it is possible to visit the works "Muerte al Invasor" and "De México a Chile", by the renowned Mexican muralists David Alfaro Siqueiros and Xavier Guerrero, respectively.
