The historic center of Cobquecura is composed of a colonial-style architectural ensemble, where large houses and one-story adobe houses stand out, with their striking facades, clay tiles, and various walls, closings, and sidewalks of flagstone, which year after year surprise tourists who come to the popular seaside resort in the summer season.
In its totality, the historic center of Cobquecura is composed of twenty-two buildings and four urban spaces, which are Independency Street, Plaza, Panteón Viejo, and Cerro el Calvario. In 2005 it was declared a national monument.
